Awards Victoria is delighted to confirm the date for the 2013 Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Gold Award Ceremony:
The Gold Award Ceremony is the culmination of a journey rich in diversity, full of challenge and packed with adventure. Presented by His Excellency the Honourable Alex Chernov AC QC, Governor of Victoria in the beautiful surrounds of Government House, it’s a time to celebrate your achievements and reflect on just how far you’ve come on your Award journey.
In the next two weeks, eligible Gold Awardees will receive their Expression of Interest forms to attend the Gold Award Ceremony (GAC). These forms must be returned to Awards Victoria no later than Monday 11 November. For more information see Key Dates for Gold Awardees.
What do you think it takes to achieve the Gold Award? It takes many things: guts and endurance. An adventurous spirit. Quiet determination. A sense of humour. Strong shoulders for more than a few heavy backpacks. And the powerful sense of ‘I can’. Each and every one of our Gold Awardees has these qualities in spades. Their stories are worth hearing, so keep an eye out on our social channels for feature stories, competitions and more in the lead up to the GAC.
