Today, the amazing students at Ashwood School helped Duke of Ed Victoria pack ‘goodie bags’ for our Gold Award Gala which will be held this Saturday. We would like to say thanks for the support and efforts of the students, as well as teacher and Excellence and Innovation Award Finalist, Deb Tucker for all her help coordinating the Duke of Ed program.

Ashwood School invited Duke of Ed, along with many other organisations to a thank you morning tea. We were grateful to meet people that support the school and our program by providing students with service and skills opportunities.

Ashwood School runs a fantastic program built into the school’s curriculum. It was great to visit the school and see how passionate and engaged the students are with the Duke of Ed program.

The Bridge, Compass and Duke of Edinburgh Bronze and Silver Awards have been running at Ashwood School for twenty years, providing the students with important lifelong skills. Award Leader, Deb Tucker, has been nominated for both the Longevity and Innovation Award, as we acknowledge her dedication and commitment to youth development within the community. You can read more about The Excellence and Innovation Awards here.

Ms Tucker was also celebrated in the Oakleigh Monash Leader for her efforts:

We are grateful for the continued support and enthusiasm Ashwood School have shown towards our programs. Deb Tucker will be recognised for her outstanding achievements at the Gold Award Gala this Saturday Melbourne Town Hall.
