Warrnambool Regional Award Ceremony
It’s that time of year again! The Regional Award Ceremony (RAC) season has begun, and – while it may not be the Oscars, the Grammys or the Golden Globes – we’re super excited! We started our RAC season with our first ceremony for 2013 in Warrnambool. Hosted by King’s College and attended by Cr Michael Neoh, Mayor of Warrnambool, the day was a celebration of Compass Awardees and Bronze and Silver Duke of Ed Awardees from across the region.Read more -

Autumn Session: Induction PD
The training room at the Thomas Carr Centre on Victoria Parade was full to bursting with enthusiastic new Coordinators ready to learn the ins-and-outs of coordinating The Duke of Ed, Compass, Bridge and Challenge Awards. From the history and philosophy underpinning the Awards, to the nuts and bolts of setting up an Award program, goal setting and Record Book Assessing, communications and newsletters, workshopping activity examples and building resilience – the Autumn Session had it all.Read more -
The Roadshow Wrap
The Dukes Roving Reporter - License to Adventure Roadshow took us all over Victoria to launch the competition, and what an awesome response we had. Our kick-off with 100 Year 9s at Strathcona set the tone for things to come as Roving Reporter Ambassador, Nathan Strempel, found himself in a room with some seriously enthusiastic, fun and brand new Dukes Participants. From there, we hit the ground running with visits to MacRob and Santa Maria College, before pulling out Google maps, some tunes and a few woolly jumpers to coast down the highway to Warrnambool. Our three-day trip saw us hit two whole school assemblies and two longer sessions for Dukes Participants at Brauer College, King’s College and Warrnambool College.Read more
